Riparian Corridor Restoration
At Intuition & Logic, we understand the importance of riparian corridors and the innumerable benefits to streams they provide: bank stability through root reinforcement of soil structure; near surface velocity and shear stress reduction from vegetation; thermal reduction of stream flows; habitat, from the aquatic substrate to the upland fringe. The corridor also acts as a sponge, retaining, filtering and pre-treating overland surface flows prior to their entrance to the stream. We tailor every corridor restoration to the project site, using native vegetation consistent with the surrounding area and appropriate for the hydrologic regime.
